| Animation
is one of the best things to happen to the Internet; and it happened
early on. Animated GIF's (graphic interchange format) were used on
some of the earliest websites to provide a better visual experience
for the user. After all, what is the Internet if it isn't visual?

| Anyway,
animation has come a long way since then, althought animated GIF's
are still used everyday (as well they should be; they are great tools).
Flash,
java
and and others have taken the animation available to us (web design
folks) and opened up a whole new world. |
