Many business who try and educate themselves about the Internet and 'what is happening' with the Internet quickly find there is simply an overload of information. It is a full time job to digest this much data. They also tell us they often feel they cannot tell what is going to happen, so they feel they can't tell what is a justified place to spend the resources to get on the Internet. "It will be obselete in 6 months anyway". There is some truth to this, but there are things about the Internet and the technologies of design which will not change.

HTML is the coding language used to design a website. There are variations of this which are different (DHTML, SGML, XML, etc), but the use of HTML is not going anywhere. A site designed today is HTML 4.0 will work on the Internet 12 months from now (and with some slight modifications) it will work 3 years form now.
